Heyo and welcome to my first ever coffee chat! To be honest with you I wasn’t planning on making this post a coffee chat at all but as I was writing I realised that I had quite a few things I wanted to share with y’all. So enjoy this update filled, ramble of a post. 😉
As many of you may have noticed I was pretty absent from the world of blogging due to my unplanned and unannounced break that I took over the course of quite a few weeks. Even though I really love blogging, I was finding it pretty hard to get back into the swing of it. I think the main reason for this has simply been due to a lack of routine.
I kind of stopped blogging around the same time that I quit my job which was back in April. This also happened to be when the school holidays had just started too. Not only did I have a couple weeks off from school due to school holidays but also another entire term as well.
This is kind of a side note but the TAFE that I am attending decided to push back my apprenticeship as well as two other girls due to the lack of class attendees. So instead of graduating TAFE in September I will now be graduating TAFE in December. This, just like everything else, has had its conveniences as well as inconveniences.
Anyways back to a couple months ago, you would think that since I didn’t have a job anymore and am no longer going to school I have all the time in the world to blog… truth but that just wasn’t my reality. I was simply in a rut. I felt like my world had stopped with my routine and I didn’t know what I was doing anymore or how to get back up in order to start moving forward again.
Thankfully through many prayers, faith and uncomfortable steps taken outside of my comfort zone, I have started moving forward again. So fast forward to now; I have a part time job and will be going back to school again next month. In the meantime I will be looking for a job which will help me to continue the practical work side of my apprenticeship as well as continue to be more active in the world of blogging.
Thank you all very much for reading! If you’d like to see more coffee chat posts from me please be sure to tell me below! Also what’s something you enjoy about having a routine?
Consistency is my favorite part of having a routine. As you know, I resonate with this blog in the sense of being all over the place as I was trying to find my place! School and family was a primary focus and I got lost in my ability to write. I am so happy for you and your excitement to be blogging again! Blessings! Xoxo

This is such a wonderful post and hope you will continue on. It can be quite difficult sometimes to have a routine and stick to it especially in blogging cuz even I find at times I’m not so sure what I want to write about or whether I feel like doing it. Also sometimes life can just get in the way of routines as well, but I think we always find our way back!! ♥ 🙂

Like you, I must maintain a routine, or else NOTHING gets done. I just would not know where to start

I like routine but I also have an impulsive side. My husband is the same way. I have a very strong need for a basic routine because 1) physically, my body can’t stand not having a strict meal and sleep schedule, 2) If I’m worn out, tired, or sick, I go into “automatic mode.” If I don’t have a routine to lean on in a crisis, I get super stressed out, 3) Looking forward to something helps my overall happiness and productivity.
That being said, I also need to be impulsive. I can’t stand having no “adventure” in my life. I’ll gladly throw away all plans and routines to spice things up now and then. Marrying someone with the exact same extreme impulsiveness makes for a very um… interesting life.
The coffee chats sound fun!
Thanks for being inspiring to this new blogger 🙂

Haha. I totally understand what you mean even though I’m not too adventurous myself. lol. I do have and enjoy having impulsive family and friends at times though as it sure does make life a little more interesting, fun and in some ways relaxing. I’m so glad this post could inspire you too. Thank you so much for reading! Many Blessings, Grace.

I definitely enjoy some chill time in the morning. The only problem with that is that I don’t like waking up early…

I like having a routine to know what to do and when, but I’m also a “do whatever your hand finds to do” person a lot of the time. A routine usually gets messed up by my husband being home when I wasn’t expecting and wanting my time/attention during times of the day I’m not used to having this to do. I know the Lord is working on my heart attitude for when things don’t go the way I’ve planned! It will be my joy to do Your will, Your way…

Routine gets me go through my day, stay fit & healthy and achieve my goals. In fact, I think it’s so important to have a good routine to make sure the habits you want to nourish become natural to you. In fact, I’m currently trying to get into a habit of daily visualization and eating less sugar. I do that by taking 21-Day challenges, which I find is a great way to kick off such things! 🙂

Completely understand. I took a huge break and though sometimes i felt like i had more time to write, i also felt uninspired and drained all in one.
