Hey Guys, You may or may not know that I have been going through a lot of changes in my life lately and with a lot of changes has come this sense of feeling very overwhelmed at many times. Each time I start feeling overwhelmed and turn my focus back to Christ the only sentence that I hear repeatedly playing in mind is “be courageous, very courageous”. Which is something that my Dad said repeatedly to me and many others as we started going through both challenging and new things in life last year.
So I wanted to come on here and share with y’all a few scriptures that have been encouraging to me as I strive to be more and more courageous…
Psalm 27:1
The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?
2 Corinthians 4:7-12
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
Isaiah 41:13
For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
Romans 8:31-39
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died, more than that, who was raised to life, is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
What’s one of your favourite encouraging verses about being courageous?

Love This, it really paints the picture of the Holy Spirit coming to remind us of His truth, and that what we put in and what will come out. My favorite verse about courage is Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” I also notice that the verse right before that is the one about meditating on God’s word day and night. His word in us helps us to stand strong and courageous, unwavering, even when we’re shaking our boots. God bless you Grace.
