Yeah, it’s already Good Friday and I haven’t even written an Easter post! 😬 Or any post, lately, for that matter. It’s ok though cause in this post I’ll be sharing with ya’ll, once again, a few scriptures as to why I celebrate Easter.
I know for many people that Easter can mean many different things but for me one of the main reasons why I celebrate Easter is in memory of the resurrection of my Saviour. I hope you have an awesome Easter weekend whether you’re working or not and without further ado here are my favourite Easter related verses…
2 Corinthians 5:21
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteuosness of God.
Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died, more than that, who was raised to life, is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.
Being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross!
When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?” But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.
Why or how do you celebrate Easter?
