Why I Celebrate Christmas

Today I’m going to be sharing with all of you a few scriptures which sum up why I celebrate Christmas.  I know that Christmas can mean many things to many different people including myself but ultimately for me it’s about celebrating the birth of my Saviour, Jesus Christ…

Isaiah 9:6 – ‘For to us a child is born, to us a son is given and the government will be on his shoulders and he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’

Luke 2:10-11 – ‘The angle said to them, “Do not be afraid.  I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.  Today in the town of David a Savoir has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.’

Galatians 4:4-7 – ‘When the set time had fully come, God sent his son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to son-ship because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father”.  So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.’

I hope you all enjoy celebrating this holiday season!  If you’re looking for some more Christmas inspiration be sure to follow my Christmas board on Pinterest.

Many Blessings, Grace.

  1. Great post! Most people seem to forget the true meaning of Christmas. To many, Christmas is about getting gifts and decorating your house. They don’t seem to understand the reasons why we do those things and what it represents. Thank you so much for making this post. It made my day!
