Becoming A Pastry Chef – Part 3

I really like going to school and learning every week but I’m so happy that I have passed another exam and will be able to sleep in for the next couple of weeks whilst on school holidays.

In the past I’ve shared with you guys a few pictures of products I’ve made at TAFE (as I’m currently an apprentice to become a pastry chef).  This post is a bit longer though than my last two in this series because I wanted all my pictures to look ‘perfect’.  I realised that’s a really hard standard for me to achieve whilst in class, as cooking gets messy!

So this post has a couple more pictures which are more realistic as to what you would see with your own eyes if you were in my classroom.  The background of quite a few pictures contains crumbs, icing, etc, as that’s just the reality of baking.  Anyways I hope you guys enjoy this post just as much as you enjoyed the last post in this series…

  1. Oh my goodness, Grace! You did a beautiful job with all of these! ❤ Yum! Not sure if I could pick one to try first, haha … the Windmill Sponge Cake looks really cool. But I think I'll have to go with the Nutella Sponge Cake!

    1. Thank you very much! 🙂

They actually have a shop at the TAFE so when we are finished making the products we just package them and put them out to sell. If someone makes a mistake, e.g. burning the product, then it normally just goes into the rubbish. Also we are allowed to take home some of the products sometimes. When I do I will normally give them away to friends and/or family. I hope that answers your question? Many Blessings, Grace.

  2. My great weakness – Cake!! (and biscuits/muffins, etc.) 😉

Tough choice as they ALL look fantabulously delicious but i accept your challenge and pick the Jaffa sponge! – Quickly followed by all the rest 🙂

Congratulations on your exam… and on doing a top job on your blog.

    Thanks for all the likes!
