In today’s blog post I thought I would share with you five different uses/benefits of using coconut oil. I personally use and have tested all of these methods so I hope you guys enjoy and find some of these tips helpful.
1. LIP SCRUB
Exfoliating your lips is a good way to remove the dead skin and impurities leaving your lips feeling soft. When you exfoliate your lips it will also help to make any lip products you apply go on smoother. You can make a basic lip scrub using equal parts of coconut oil and sugar.
2. HAIR MASK
Coconut oil moisturises hair which can help to prevent split ends and breakage. Coconut oil can also help to make your hair appear more shiny and feel softer. I put about two to three tablespoons of coconut oil in the palm of my hand and apply it to the hairs from the nape of my neck down. I then tie up my hair and leave it to sit for about half an hour before washing my hair.
3. MAKEUP REMOVER
When I first started wearing mascara I tried quite a few makeup remover prodcuts but found that all of them were very rough causing my eyelashes to fall out. Then I heard that coconut oil was a great makeup remover and decided to give it a go. I found that it doesn’t just take my mascara off without making my eyelashes fall out but it has also helped my eyelashes to grow longer!
4. HAIR GROWTH
As I mentioned in my last use for coconut oil, coconut oil helps with the growth of your hair. Coconut oil is a very natural way to help stimulate your hair growth helping your hair to become longer and thicker faster by getting deep into the follicles.
Coconut oil is proven to be one of the healthiest oils out there and has a lot of amazing benefits for your body. It helps to convert the ‘bad’ cholesterol into ‘good’ cholesterol which can promote heart health. You can use coconut oil for a wide variety of things, a few examples being buttering your toast, frying food, baking or making salad dressings.
