Hey Guys and welcome back to My Blessing! Today I wanted to share with you some hair hacks to prevent split ends and keep your hair healthier in general. I personally use all of these hacks on a daily basis to keep my hair healthy. So keep reading for my top five tips…
1. SHAMPOOING
If you shampoo your hair everyday it is more likely to become prone to frizz, split ends and dullness. Shampoo is meant to cleanse/strip your hair from all the build up of dirt and oils. Also the more you wash your hair the more oils your scalp produces. Therefore I recommend that you skip at least one day between each time you shampoo.
2. WATER
Water is the main source of energy for the cells in your body which are responsible for the health and growth of your hair. Water can also help cure things like dandruff by giving your scalp more moisture so make sure you stay hydrated at all times.
3. PILLOWCASES
Sleeping on silk pillow cases will not only prevent your hair from damage like frizz but it will also keep your hairstyles (i.e. blow drying, straightening, etc.) in tact for longer.
4. WET HAIR
When your hair is wet it is 30% more elastic which can make your hair more prone to damage/breakage. So when your hair is wet avoid brushing it with a regular brush and instead use a wide tooth comb. Make sure to start brushing your hair from the bottom of working your way up to the top.
5. TOWEL DRYING
Drying your hair with a regular towel can cause damage by roughing your hair cuticles which can lead to further damage like split ends, hair breakage and frizziness. I recommend using a micro fibre towel to dry your hair as it can absorb the moisture of your hair up to four times faster than a regular towel and it is a lot more gentle on the shafts of your hair.
I hope you guys enjoyed and/or learnt something new and I’ll be back next week with another blog post.
Many Blessings, Grace.
Thanks for the tips. I’ll definitely be using them. : )

I’d like to add regular trimming to the list! Ever since I started trimming my hair every month (!) it grows like crazy. Just make sure to only trim a few mm.
